NORTHERN CAPE:The Greater Orange River Area is a vast area that lies in the Northern Cape. It has a big variety of quartz, with multi-coloured phantoms, smokies and red hematite coated quartz crystals.Kalahari Manganese Fields: This is a very important and world-famous mineral producing area, situated on the border between the Northern and North-Western Cape. It produces minerals like aegirine, calcite, chalcedony, ettringite, andradite garnets, gypsum, hausmannite, apophyllite, inesite, manganite, marcasite, pectolite, pyrite etc. We have
interesting quartz crystals from
little-known localities such as Vredendal, Villiersdorp, Ceres
and Worcester. Lots of lovely quartz
specimens in shades of
amethyst, white and citrine, including cactus quartz. . |
