Description:
A cluster of
(mostly) amethyst coloured botryoidal chalcedony aggregates with some
aggregates having a greenish colouring,
possibly caused by inclusions
of celadonite. The specimen has bits of
limestone attached.
Some of the aggregates have nicks.
Background:
These specimens
first appeared on the global mineral
market in 2016. Although they are fairly abundant at the moment, it is
not known how much of this treasure is still left in the ground.
