An
interesting slab of (?)petrified wood, sliced and polished on
one
side.
We
bought this piece along with a batch of other mineral specimens, and
are not
sure what it is, or from where it originates.
A tiny
piece (8 mm in diametre) of the upper edge is loose, and we tried to
dislodge
it, but it only wiggles. Forcing it may cause damage to the rest, so we
left
it. Thinking of a clock, it lies between 1 o'clock and 2 o'clock if you
look at the first image.
