Measurements: 45
x 16 x 15 mm Description: The crystal underwent at least three generations of quartz growth, starting with a pale smoky quartz growth. This was covered by iron oxide and then followed by a partial quartz growth. Around the base are numerous tiny, flat quartz crystals, that possibly grew in a further stage of development. Large parts of the crystal surface has the iron oxide exposed. It is interesting to note that the pieces where the iron oxide is covered by quartz, are darker than the exposed areas. The lower end has some facets (bottom left image). The termination has a contact mark,
while the rest of the specimen has a few small nicks. Weight of Specimen: 18.0 g Chemical Composition: SiO2 Location: Specimen
Code: SNCO 107 US $ 12 . .
