mm Description:
A group
of quartz crystals wtih a dark amethyst appearance. When held against
light,
one can see that the coulouring is caused by an amethyst quartz crystal
that
received a sprinkling of black hematite or other metallic mineral, as
well as
hematite on some areas. That was followed by a second
generation of quartz
growth. The
terminations have a few very small nicks, while the rest of the
specimen has
growth and pressure marks and a few nicks near the base. The top
right image shows the colour when held against a strong light. Weight of Specimen: 24.3 g Chemical
