fascinating group of quartz crystals with three generations of quartz
growth.
Milky
to clear quartz crystals received a thin coating of iron oxide and
minute
hematite crystals. This received a very thin coating of quartz growth,
and
finally another growth of quartz, resulting in the spectacular clear
termination.
The
clear crystal termination has a minute nick, while one of the larger
crystals
have a long chip running nearly its full length (visible on 1st image,
right
hand side). The matrix is a few broken pieces of crystal.
