Schorl and Feldspar Cluster – NERS 014

Description:  A cluster of lustrous black tourmaline (schorl) crystals with feldspar. Despite some damage to a few of the crystals, the specimen displays well.

                                       KAlSi₃O₈  (feldspar)  

Hardness on Mohs Scale:  (schorl)  7.5
                                         (feldspar)  6 - 6.5

Location:  Erongo Mountains, Erongo Region, Namibia.
