Fluorite with Albite and Herderite – NERF 014

Measurements:  75 x 56 x 41 mm

Description:  A very unusual specimen consisting of numerous small fluorite crystals, with albite on and inside some of them. There are also small, yellow crystals of herderite. Herderite is seldom found in the Erongo region.

The fluorite crystals have a green-/brown-/greyish colour, mostly with brownish interiors, with a few having a very faint touch of amethyst colouring (image upper right). 

The specimen has a few contact marks and nicks.
