Description: Gemmy, clear quartz crystals up to 20 mm long, sit on a matrix of basalt rock. The smaller crystals have a touch of greenish colour which can be because of chlorite or epidote, or both. There is at least one small epidote crystal visible and traces of epidote in some other crystals. The specimen has a lovely lustre to it, difficult to see on these pictures.
Some of the crystals have nicks. The photograph (bottom, left) shows the bottom of the specimen.
