Quartz crystal with light amethyst clouds and rainbow

Measurements:  53 x 27 x 24 mm

Description:  A semi-clear quartz crystal with clouds of faint amethyst colouring, flaws, gas inclusions and a small piece of calcite to the lower end. When tilted in light, a lovely rainbow can be seen.

Besides the damage to the bottom of the crystal, where it parted from its matrix, the rest of the crystal only has a few very minute nicks, hardly visible with the naked eye.
