Cluster of Carrollite Crystals - VAR 035

Measurements:  23 x 22 x 13 mm

Description:  A small cluster of carrollite crystals with a metallilc lustre, up to 6 mm on edge. Most of the crystals are well formed, with some contact marks to the specimen.

Carrollite specimens are not easily obtainable.

Weight of Specimen:  9.7 g

Chemical Composition:  CuCo_1.5Ni_0.5S₄

Hardness on Mohs Scale:  4.5 - 5.5

Location:  Katanga, Congo, Africa (DRC).
