Measurements: 134 x 69 x 48 mm Description: A beautiful, double terminated quartz crystal group, ranging from clear to slightly opaque. A few of the double terminated lesser crystals are partly embedded in the main crystal. One of its terminations has an interesting pressure mark to its side. One of its shaft faces serves as a bed in which numerous pretty clear quartz crystals (in various sizes) rest, partially submerged. The biggest secondary crystal has multiple terminations and lovely facets. The specimen is partly coated with an orangy colour, presumably iron oxide. Minute bits of feldspar are attached in a few places. Only a very minute nick to one of the lesser crystals visible. This is a very special specimen indeed!Chemical Composition: SiO2
Location: Vredendal Quarry, Western Cape, South Africa Specimen Code: SWCV 012 US $ 600
