Quartz Crystal Cluster on dolomite and feldspar crystal matrix


 Measurements:  72 x 35 x 30 mm

Description:  A delicate clear crystal cluster (31 x 16 mm) on a bed of small dolomite and feldspar crystals.

One of the main crystal terminations rests on a dolomite crystal.

The matrix consists of soft sedimentary rock. One of the terminations has a few small nicks.

                              CaMg(CO3)2   (dolomite)  
                                    KAlSi3O8   (feldspar) 

Hardness on Mohs Scale:  (quartz)  7 
                                      (dolomite)  3.5-4
                                      (feldspar)  6 - 6.5
