Druse of quartz crystals with lovely red / brown phantoms

Measurements:   64 x 30 x 20 mm

Description:  A druse of milky to clear quartz crystals (up to about 12 mm long) with lovely red / brown phantoms, some with black speckles. The bottom right photograph shows sunlight shining through it. Except for a few small nicks, the specimen has very little damage.

Chemical Composition:  SiO2  

Hardness on Mohs Scale:  7

Location:  Orange River, Northern Cape, South Africa.
