Dioptase, shattuckite and calcite crystals on quartz matrix


Measurements:   56 x 45 x 34 mm

Description:  A few dioptase crystals, the largest ± 12 mm long, coated with a thin layer of minute calcite crystals, share a quartz matrix with small balls of shattuckite on facets of quartz, coated with a thin layer of minute, clear to snow-white, calcite crystals.

The edges of the specimen is broken, revealing the dioptase with a coating of calcite.
