Fluorite Crystals on Quartz Crystal – NERF 029

Fluorite crystal cluster on quartz crystal

Fluorite crystal cluster with interesting shape

Measurements:  54 x 41 x 23 mm

Description:  A beautiful group of fluorite crystals with a variety of colours - green, purple and 'Coke' coloured - sit on a semi-transparent quartz crystal.

At the bottom of the fluorite cluster is some feldspar clay with mica and one small beryl crystal. On the fluorite are a few small schorl crystals.

The quartz crystal has a thin layer of hyalite opal covering one of its sides.

The termination of the quartz crystal has only a few very minute nicks, while the fluorite cluster appears to be undamaged. The bottom of the quartz crystal once sat at an angle on its original matrix.

These type of specimens are now very hard to purchase.
