Bi-Coloured Beryl Crystal with Schorl - NER 012

Bi-coloured beryl crystal with schorl attached to it.

Measurements:  30 x 15 x 15 mm

Description:  A bi-coloured beryl crystal with a light green lower part, and dark yellow upper part. It has a thin coating of, what appears to be, feldspar.

A strange feature of most of these crystals is the concave shape spread across about two of the facets. In this specimen the concave shape is fairly shallow, and there are bits of schorl attached at the base.

The edges have a few very small nicks.

According to experienced diggers at the mining area, they have never seen anything like this before.

This specimen comes from a very rare find!
