"Fancy" Quartz Crystals on Matrix – NBB 144

Measurements:  45 x 25 x 17 mm

Description:  A group of quartz crystal with pretty terminations, classified as "fancy" or "crazy" quartz, on a small matrix of quartz, chalcedony and (?)feldspar. The locals, mining these, often call them "tietiebottels", the Afrikaans name referring to babies' bottles. Most of the terminations have a touch of light amethyst colouring.

The terminations appear to have no damage. Lower down on some of the crystals, are pressure marks. There is damage along some of the edges of the matrix, and some flaws at the bottom of the matrix.
