Very Unusual Flattish Quartz Crystal - NBB 135

Flat quartz crystal with lovely inclusions

Measurements:  70 x 31 x 13 mm

Description:  A rather unusual, flattish quartz crystal with light amethyst / smoky colouring. It has two large, flat (?)negative crystals, each about 20 mm long (positioned roughly at a right angle to each other), that looks like two fully encapsulated crystals, with one of them having a minute crystal partially embedded in its side.

The crystal also has numerous small negative crystal inclusions and a small moving bubble, as well as fascinating growth patterns. There are also several minute, reddish hematite specks.

The termination has a few very small nicks, while the lower part of the crystal has a flaw and a large contact mark, where it parted from its matrix at a sharp angle.
