Amethyst Quartz Crystals on Basalt Matrix – NBB 128

Description:  Two lovely, light amethyst quartz crystals joined at an angle of just more than 90 degrees, on a basalt matrix.

The horisontal crystal (25 x 13 mm) appears to be undamaged.

The larger of the two crystals (27 x 16 x 13 mm) has chalcedony on 6 faces, and some damage to its back.

The crystals are surrounded by, what appears to be, calcite.
