Description: A gemmy topaz crystal with lovely facets and a most beautiful termination. The sparkling colours is due to rainbows, a few yellow included stains, as well as numerous small gas inclusions, many of them containing a reddish mineral. The crystal has a large flaw (see
bottom left
photograph). The top end of the crystal appears undamaged, but the
lower part is badly damaged where it parted from its matrix. Chemical Composition: Al2SiO4(F,OH)2 Hardness
