Phantom Quartz and Other Minerals on Matrix - NBB 065

Quartz crystal on matrix of basalt, quartz, prehnite and calcite.


 Measurements:  68 x 44 x 31 mm

Description:  A clear quartz crystal (40 x 09 x 08) with faint amethyst phantoms, gas inclusions and a few hematite and epidote specks. 

It sits on a longish matrix, consisting of a thin layer of basalt and quartz, with small quartz , calcite and prehnite crystals.

The main crystal's termination has a few minute nicks and the lower section of the crystal has some damage and pressure marks. Some of the matrix crystals are also damaged.
