Very Unusual Amethyst Quartz Cluster - NBB 045

Lovely, high quality dark amethyst quartz cluster, Brandberg, Namibia

 Measurements:  63 x 44 x 28 mm

Description:  A lovely, high quality, dark amethyst cluster that has grown on a poorly formed quartz crystal. The brown pressure marks are probably due to feldspar that had been attached to it. There is limited damage to the lower part of the specimen.

This specimen is part of a batch we purchased a few years ago, and we have not seen these type of specimens since.  It is one of only two that we have left, the other is NBB 033.

Hardness on Mohs Scale:  7
