Amethyst Quartz Crystal, Brandberg Namibia

 Measurements:  37 x 14 x 09 mm

Description:  A light amethyst crystal on a piece of basalt matrix. The crystal has a number of light amethyst phantoms, and a few small gas inclusions. 

It has a nick to its termination, but is still a lovely specimen.

Chemical Composition:  SiO2

Hardness on Mohs Scale:  7
